This site is built and maintained in the hopes to raise fund for Jordanne's medical and travel expenses after she became quadriplegic upon catastrophic injury in a car accident. She and her family have just travelled to Costa Rica to receive stem cell treatments at the Institute of Cellular Medicine. This procedure is not covered by insurance. And she still needs a lot of physical therapy to help get the stem cells to start regenerating nerve cells where she needs it in order for her to move her body again. Jordanne needs your help! Going to Costa Rica for stem cell therapy

Jordanne's father, Steve, searched in vain to locate U.S. clinics providing stem cell replacement therapy. He eventually found the Institute of Cellular Medicine in Costa Rica who accepted Jordanne as a candidate to receive the stem cell therapy. (Other countries providing the therapy include India, China and Korea.)

In January of 2008, the Menzies family traveled to Costa Rica for a week so that Jordanne could receive the treatment. Now she is back home in Colorado and is trying to find physical therapists to help her get moving again.

"Things are going good. I love to go to therapy everyday. I have new strengths and new outcomes everyday. My arms are getting stronger, as well as my core muscles. Wednesday I moved a five pound weight on my left arm. My therapist told me that everytime she thinks I've plateaued, I prove her wrong and do something I haven't before. My right arm is slowly catching up to my left arm. I am ok becoming left handed. Soon I will buy an arm supporter that attaches to my chair. It will help assist my left arm when I move it, so with a lot of practice I will be able to feed myself. I was fitted for a new brace for my core. It will help my scoliosis. I don’t really like it. It is a little uncomfortable. I only have to wear it in therapy for now. The brace does help assist me in therapy. Today everyone was amazed at how strong I am getting. I don’t think they expected me to do so well. I start school again next week at mesa state. I hope I can handle school and therapy. New videos should be up soon. Keep praying it is working.
